Here is the first liveset I did with the new Ableton/APC 40 Combo. I was recorded at a Tuskulum party in Aue, in south-east Germany a few weekends ago. It’s still a work in progress really, and has made me debate whether I wish to do ableton only live acts or not, as I will always prefer hardware from an audio perspective.. anyway, download and enjoy:

Props to Colin for finding these on flickr. Test was an absolute legend of a club in Glasgow that I played at a couple of times, and the organiser, Joe, was more than a dab hand at graphic design as you can see from these sticker designs…

This is going out to meine ost-deutschen leute… Herzlich Greusse am die tag die mauer war weg 
I have a special connection with the former GDR. I lived within it’s borders in East Berlin. I’ve played in many different towns and cities of the alte DDR. I learned how to speak German (Badly!) really through friends in the East who didn’t speak English. Dresden, Leipzig, and of course Berlin have a very special place in my heart. So i feel a bit of the emotion too today when thinking of the wall falling…

Another mix for you, which will kick off my new “Signals from Southwark” series.. Every week there will be a DJ mix, Live set or MP3 E.P. download available for free download from this website. To kick things off, here’s a 2 1/2 hour DJ set from me, consisting mainly of records just pulled off the shelf at random, I decided to start at a particular point and just see where the mood took me..
