Vadz made this cool little video of the streets in St Petersburg at night, to the sounds of Marco Passarani “Earth’s Heart”, Loving the video, but really loving the track also, it’s from the sullen look album.
Quite impressed with the deep bassy sounds coming on minus’s latest release. Hobo is Joel Boychuk, one half of Tractile, who’ve had a couple of deep bassy, chicago flavoured (think relief records from ‘95 but with 21st century productions values) releases on minus previously. The actual vinyl release only has the first 2 tracks from the weblink above on it.. I’m loving some of the others though, in particular “Skeletone”, which almost sounds like something taken from Cristian Vogel’s “All music has come to an end” LP from 1996. I’d never heard of Hobo until I heard that he was going to remix a track for my “###” project, the remix I got back blew me away (will be released in February), and made me look a little deeper. I’m just hoping some of these other trax make it onto vinyl, or at least as a digital release and I get my Digital DJ set up sorted out, because it’s sounding good from here!
maybe I’ll get a proper website together in due course. Just to let you know, I havn’t done this in any cynical attempt to “get popular”, I’m just doing the music that makes me feel good right now. And it is nice to have people dig it.. enjoy!
